TapMap is looking for a new member of staff to focus on Ruby on Rails-based application and infrastructure components. You should have a passion for shipping elegant, efficient code, the results of which will be seen by millions of people. (No exaggeration – our partner has 1.2m users in Europe already, with 6m across the world)Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Ruby on Rails-based application and infrastructure components
Refactor and improve maintainability of the codebase
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Conduct design and code reviews
Interface with product, front-end, and operations teams
Pro-actively look for ways to make TapMap betterRequirements
Expert knowledge developing and debugging in Ruby on Rails
Disciplined approach to development, testing, and quality assurance
Comfortable working to deadlines, and comfortable working from home and or the office.
Strong communication and documentation skillsDesired Skills
Passion for building a great product!
Programming in your spare time, or as a hobby
Some great personal projects under your belt
Active contributor to open source software
Experience with databases and caching
Previous startup experience
Active user of an iPhone, and very familiar with the mobile web.
Ability to travel (very infrequently) to the US, to me- How to apply:
